Arsenal; Same Story different cast

When the barclays Premier League season kicked off,  Many Arsenal fans were certain that this was the end of the long wait.  Over the seasons that elapsed,  Gunners have not gone above 77point mark and this season was not exceptional. With 2 matches to go, Arsenal are third in the log with just 67points, 10 behind leaders and 2 behind bitter rivals Tottenham Hot spurs. Despite beating the Champions-Elect Leicester city FC,  Arsenal lost obvious matches against struggling sides and lost the plot on winning formula.  I joined Arsenal in 2005, shortly after winning the FA Cup against Manchester United I  Millennium Stadium in Cardiff Wales.  As a gooner I had to wait for whooping 9yrs and 11Months  to win my first silverware which was a summary of the nine years..  Arsenal went down 2 goals inside 9minutes in the FA cup 2013 final against Hull City AFC and spend the remainder of the Match leveling before finding the back of the net in the added extra time through Aaron Ramsey 16th goal

Kenya way far behind the finish line

Political class in Kenya have always wanted to make the electorate think they are expandable, this has been evident in the recent past as the build up to 2017 polls gets underway.  We have leaders who think politics is a game of divide and rule,  others think that hand outs are a way of being popular among the electorate but others think making headlines for all wrong reasons wins them popularity.  For close to 6 months, I have been on personal retreat in makueni County.  Despite my silent mood over the period, I have learned that we may be way far from Canaan. We may keep on roaming in the wilderness of ignorance and idiosyncratic thinking. This is because of the trait that Kenyans have in mind that give us our murder and take your saint.  I have listened to a local vernacular station with a state connection and just realized that we may be far from the promised land full of milk and honey.  A popular radio presenter in government owned Mwatu FM,  has been on target with his orders

North London Derby, Its all about fate for Arsenal

Image
Well, I may have been silent on the North London Derby match to night but lads, this is not business as usual. Watching London Derby live from Emirates stadium is awesome as the result is obvious but going to White Hart Lane, its kinder shaky for Arsene Wenger and Company. The fixture come at a time when Arsenal is having a slight decline in form having gone without a win in the last 2 matches in all competitions. The unfair defeat at Stamford Bridge and surprise defeat in Zagreb Croatia mean that Arsenal need to avoid frustrations in the rivals derby in North London tonight. Per Martesacker in a past North London Derby According to Sbnation "one can collectively describe only as "fate", Arsenal's initial foray in the Capital One Cup in the 2015/16 season is a much bigger and more interesting fixture. Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger promised Arsenal fans that they should expect unusually strong selection and am really hoping that that side includes Petr Cech

its time to kick homophobia out of football

This coming weekend, top European leagues will join the LGBT community in the campaign against homophobia. I am happy for the initiative that would eventually open up the sport to everyone. As we match towards the attainment of such,  a lot needs to be done. Back in 2015, I posted the following article on my Blog. It's time to kick out homophobia Football is a game that has made people of diverse heritage converge . Things have not always worked for the 13th player for every team. Team Managers have always tried to open up the stadium for everyone.  The war against the unwanted ball rolling inside field of play has continued despite the setbacks. A lot has been said but who really needs to make this possible? Is the topic debatable ? Is it possible to win the war against homophobia in Africa? How does the domestic leagues kick the homophobia out of the stadiums and open the game to everybody? To begin with, Arsenal FC team in London UK initiated Arsenal For Everyone initiat

Hillary Clinton statement on Equality

One hundred and sixty-seven years ago today, brave women and men gathered in Seneca Falls to sign their names to what, at the time, was a radical statement: We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men and women are created equal. Thanks to the movement that took root in Seneca Falls and continued through generations of tireless effort, women can now vote, earn and keep our wages, own property, serve in the military, and hold elected office. But our journey towards equality continues, and there's much more we can accomplish together. So today, I’m asking you to pledge your support to keep working for equality. Let's work together to build a nation where women earn equal pay, no matter the color of our skin. A country where women have the tools and support they need to participate in the economy, including paid family leave, access to child care, and the ability to make our own reproductive health decisions. Let's build a country where a woman can be president.
